Phil Donnelly
Phillip J. Donnelly is Professor of Literature in the Honors College at Baylor University, where he teaches in the Great Texts Program and the English Graduate Program. He holds degrees from the University of British Columbia (BA) and the University of Ottawa (MA & PhD). He is the author of three books, including Milton’s Scriptural Reasoning: Narrative and Protestant Toleration (Cambridge University Press, 2009) and The Lost Seeds of Learning: Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric as Life-Giving Arts (Classical Academic Press, 2021). His work focuses on the way that the verbal arts connect philosophy, theology, and imaginative literature in the ongoing debates about how humans order life together. Dr. Donnelly has been involved in faculty development for K-12 educators for over ten years, speaking at local schools, as well as national and international conferences.
